PA is page authority. It is the value of a webpage as assessed on the basis of several factors including age of the content, popularity reflected by traffic and the quality of backlinks to the particular page, outbound links and the level of trust. Page authority is similar to domain authority in one way. Both indicate popularity, for a webpage and a website respectively. However, domain authority does not necessarily mean the authority of a page will be higher. Likewise, high page authority does not guarantee better domain authority. Multiple pages having higher authority do contribute to better domain authority metric. PA or page authority metric is the score assigned to a particular webpage.

Every website has outbound links. Some websites have outbound links connecting to different webpages. Many websites have outbound links redirecting users to other sites. These sites could be a part of the same network or it can be a third party website. Webmasters often need to link to sources or references and hence outbound links become necessary. Given the nature of search engine optimization as it has evolved into, outbound links play an important role in ranking. Google in particular recognizes the quality of outbound links and this influences the ranking. This is where outbound links metric becomes significant for webmasters and search engine optimization experts.

DR or domain rating is a metric used Ahrefs. The proprietary metric assesses the strength of the backlink profile of a website. The quality and size of backlinks are assessed in isolation, which is to say not in comparison with the profiles of other websites. The metric is a standalone assessment for a particular website. However, in the larger scheme of things, the metric of one website does get pitted against another. This is especially in case of search engine optimization.

Article spinning is a common practice in search engine optimization. It is a writing technique that uses one source material or more to create new content. The new article is essentially about the same topic or subject. It also contains the same information as is available in the source material. The content in the source material is rewritten in a manner that the new article is not similar in a literal sense. The key difference between the original or source material and the new article is wording, structure and at times the message.

Spinning an article is often perceived as re-writing. This is not an accurate perception. The spun article does not have to drive home the same point. The main content or the information available in the source material can be used in any manner as required for a specific purpose. Parts of the article may be used along with information from other source materials to convey a specific message. The inference may be the same but there is no hard and fast rule for the new content to be precisely about the conclusion drawn by the original author.

Nofollow links are links composed with a rel=”nofollow” HTML tag associated with them. Tagging the link with nofollow indicates to search engines to ignore that particular link. By not passing PageRank, nofollow links will have little impact on search engine rankings.
